COC successes at Junior Nationals

COC sent a huge contingent of 33 athletes to Junior Nationals at Mount Tom in Holyoke, Massachusetts. COC’s Zariah Zosel won first place in the middle school girls category. We also had five second-place individual finishes: Tyra Christopherson for intercollegiate women, Siri Christopherson for high school varsity girls, Zoe Sibthorp for junior varsity girls, Jack Bruneel for junior varsity boys, and Peter Campbell for elementary boys. Cascade juniors to represent U.S. in Hungary

At least three COC juniors will represent the United States this summer at the Junior World Orienteering Championships in Hungary. The selection races were held March 23–25 in conjunction with California Orienteering Week. Fully half of the six-person women’s team will be comprised of COC members: Tyra Christopherson, Siri Christopherson, and Caroline Sandbo. Congratulations to the WIOL champions

We wrapped up the 2017–2018 WIOL season with a great championship meet at Fire Mountain Scout Reservation. As always, we crowned champions in many different age categories for both the overall season (best four out of seven results) and for the single-race championship event.
