The Bog Slog is POSTPONED to date TBD!

As of 8pm on 12/30, The Bog Slog on January 2nd has been POSTPONED to a later date TBA.

With six more inches of snow falling yesterday and today (and potentially more to follow), and temperatures well below freezing until late Saturday, we’re just not convinced that the conditions will allow for safe travel to the event and safe orienteering in the woods on Sunday morning. (Not to mention safe access for the course setters on Saturday!)

The organizers are working on determining a new date with park staff, and we’ll let you know about a date change as soon as possible.

If you registered for the event and cannot attend the new date, you will receive a refund.

Last COC Orienteering Race of 2021- WL #4 at UW

Don’t miss out on what is always a super fun event: Winter League at the University of Washington. Enjoy a new map at 1:4,000 scale, using the sprint mapping standard (ISSprOM 2019) thanks to Peter Golde! Registrations are filling fast. More information on the event page here.

Mergeo- Street Scramble at the Market Dec 11

No Cascade Club orienteering this weekend, but Mergeo is offering Street Scramble at the Market- 2 hours and on-foot only (no 3-hour or bike option), so the course is especially compact. Expect to be able to visit a bunch of checkpoints in a relatively short distance! Also, in the spirit of giving, half of your entry fee goes to The Pike Place Market Foundation, which provides vital services to elderly and low-income residents of downtown and welcomes us back each year to Pike Place Market.

Online pre-registration will close on Thursday, December 9, at 11:59pm.

Cascade Orienteering Club Discount:  Members of Cascade Orienteering Club may take off $5 by using code COC#member
