Join the Ultimate Series in Vantage this Weekend

Calling all adventurous orienteers. Head on over to Eastern Washington this weekend for some ultimate racing in rugged and challenging terrain. Winter League Championships Officially Added

Permits are in hand for a Winter League Series Championship race at Shorecrest High School-Hamlin Park-South Woods Park on Saturday, May 8th.  Registration for public (60 spots to start- more added as we can) is open. New Venue – New Challenge Saturday at Rock Creek/Summit Trails

Winter League #5 heads south to the Maple Valley area this Saturday, April 24.  COC is excited to have our first official event at this new venue. Course designer and map creator John Brady has promised hard and challenging courses. You won’t want to miss the debut of Rock Creek/Summit Trails as an orienteering landscape for COC. Winter League heads to Ft Steilacoom this Saturday

Join us for a day of racing at Ft Steilacoom Park in Tacoma. At this venue you will experience dense forests, hills, native grass fields, ruins and an urban campus. Public registration opens tonight (4/12) at 7pm and will close on Wednesday (4/14) at 9pm or when the limited spots fill up. Read more about the event here.

Winter League & Ultimate Orienteer Series Both Add New Events

Winter League is excited to announce a Winter League and WIOL Championship Race on May 8th in the general Puget Sound area, pending permits.  Stay tuned and check the series page for more information as it becomes available. The Ultimate Orienteer Series has teamed up with Eastern Washington Orienteering Club to offer another weekend of events on June 5th and 6th in Spokane. Winter League #3 is Up Next – Join us April 3rd!

Winter League #3  is this Saturday April 3rd at South Seattle College.   Join us for a fun sprint style race at a venue COC hasn’t visited in a few years. Public registration will open at 7pm tonight (3/29) and close at 9pm on Wednesday (3/31). Rental e-punches will be available for this meet, but you must pre-pay online for them. Ultimate Orienteer Series Announces Events

COC’s Ultimate Orienteer Series has officially released their season schedule. This year’s series will be three weekend double-headers over the mountains in Eastern Washington. Ultimate Orienteer events are COC’s most challenging courses but are open to everyone. WVS Wraps Up with Live Event This Weekend

Looking for an orienteering challenge? The Winter Virtual Series Live Finale is This Saturday, March 13th at Lord Hill Regional Park in Snohomish. Brand new courses, brand new areas on the map. Lots of flattish open runnable forest totally off trails, where creating one’s own handrails using contours, vegetation boundaries and other imaginary life savers will be the norm.  More information on the event can be found here.
