Compare routes for Dash Point on RouteGadget!

Want to compare your route with others who ran your course? Try RouteGadget, which has just been set up for the Dash Point race. Go here and click Help to get started. You can draw your route, then play an animation that shows you in a head-to-head race with the competitors of your choice -- assuming that they, too, have entered their routes! Several routes for Courses 3 through 7 have already been entered.

IMPORTANT NOTE: When you first go to the link, you will not see the map because it will be off the page to the lower right. Grab the lower right part of the large frame (even if it is completely blank) and drag it to the upper left to bring the map into view. And one more hint for success -- as you draw your route, make sure the line snaps to the center of each control circle.

RouteGadget is very popular in some other clubs, where it has been used for years. Jan Urban, an orienteer who just moved (back) here from San Diego, has offered to provide RouteGadget to Cascade. Thanks, Jan! Thanks also to Patrick Nuss, Pat Kelly, Eric Bone, and Don Atkinson for providing Jan with the necessary OCAD and results files.
