26 Students Enjoy Pre-WIOL Skills Boost

These students, including several from EAS and Denny Middle School, got a boost of preparation before the WIOL season on Oct 17 at Lynndale Park, going on three feature-observation walks as a group, then doing a mini solo course. It was raining, but we had a warm lunch and hot chocolate, for a great day overall. In the words of one coach:

"Thanks for a great training experience!  The coaches were good at explaining things and getting the kids to think.  The site worked well, even with the "trail alongside the creek" turned into a stream, and the presentations about ethics and sportsmanship had them talking nearly the whole way home.

I think you also got at least two of the parents eager to try O themselves, so I should have less trouble getting carpools lined up.  Thanks for that, too!"
