No off-trail travel at this event! The Seward Park forest, as one of only two stands of old-growth in Seattle, is in the midst of a forest preservation effort, and we have agreed not to go off-trail into the forest at this event. So remember to stay on trail in the forest. Courses will be scenic, challenging, and fun nonetheless!
Three courses offered:
1) MoboGoGlobo! Course, approximately 3.5km.
Pre-registration required. Local runners by March 14th, global navigators by March 21st. See website for registration details. Mobile phones are required.
2) Standard Mobile-Orienteering Relay.
Day-of-event entries only. We recommend that if you're going to participate, you sign up for the MoboGoGlobo! event, but we understand that not everyone can commit that two weeks in advance. This is a two-person mobile-o relay, where Teammate A runs the course without a map, directed via mobile phone by Teammate B. Once the first half is complete, Teammate B runs a different course (without a map), directed by Teammate A. Teammates and mobile phones are required.
3) Beginner Course.
Day-of-event entries only. A standard orienteering course for beginners. No mobile phones or teammates are required. $6 plus $2 epunch rental.
