- volunteer and do the goat for free!
Six Degrees of Navigation is Cascade's annual
adventure race, which this year takes place the previous day (July
26) in the same general area as the Goat. Do Six Degrees Saturday
and stay over for the Goat on Sunday! Or, volunteer at Six
Degrees and do the Goat for free! Ask Debbie
Newell about volunteer opportunities.
Courses
Mt. Goat - A long (10k), challenging course with a lot
of climb.
Kid - A not-as-long (7k), but still challenging course
with plenty of climb.
Beginner - A short course suitable for beginners.
Rules
The Mt. Goat and Kid will be goat style races. There
will be a mass start and you may skip one control of your choice.
All other controls must be visited in order. Following is permitted,
but not required. If you'd like to learn more about goat races,
check out the Billygoat
(www.billygoat.org) web site.
The beginner course will be a standard, point-to-point course.
All courses will use electronic punching.
Map
This is a high-quality, 1:15,000 scale map, last revised in 2004,
